Day 1: Arrival in Kunming
Today, I arrived in Kunming, the capital city of Yunnan Province, China. I was immediately greeted by the pleasant climate and the fresh air. After checking into my hotel, I decided to explore the city. I visited the Green Lake Park, where I saw many locals enjoying their afternoon by dancing, singing, and practicing Tai Chi. The park was filled with beautiful flowers and trees, and I even got to see some adorable pandas at the nearby zoo.
Day 2: Stone Forest
Today, I went to the Stone Forest, a famous scenic spot in Kunming. It was truly a breathtaking sight to see the thousands of stone pillars rising up from the ground. I took a guided tour and learned about the history and formation of the Stone Forest. The local guide was very knowledgeable and made the tour even more enjoyable. I also tried some local food, such as the famous Yunnan rice noodles, which were absolutely delicious.
Day 3: Dali
Today, I took a train to Dali, a charming ancient town in Yunnan. The town is surrounded by the beautiful Cang Mountains and has a rich history. I visited the Ancient City of Dali, which was built over 1000 years ago. I strolled along the cobblestone streets and admired the traditional Bai architecture. In the evening, I went to the Erhai Lake to watch the sunset. The lake is like a mirror reflecting the mountains and the sky, creating a breathtaking view.
Day 4:洱海騎行
Today, I rented a bike and rode around the Erhai Lake. The scenery was stunning, and I couldn't help but stop every now and then to take photos. I passed by small villages, farms, and temples, and I even got to meet some friendly locals who were more than happy to chat with me. I tried some local snacks and fresh fruits, which were very tasty. This was undoubtedly one of the highlights of my trip.
Day 5:麗江
Today, I took a bus to Lijiang, another beautiful city in Yunnan. Lijiang is famous for its well-preserved ancient town,麗江古城, which is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. I walked through the narrow streets and admired the traditional architecture and the beautiful flowers and plants. I also visited the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, which offers breathtaking views of the surrounding area. The mountain was covered in snow, and the scenery was simply stunning.
Day 6: Shangri-La
Today, I continued my journey to Shangri-La, a city located at an altitude of over 3000 meters. The city is surrounded by snow-capped mountains and is known for its pristine natural beauty. I visited the Songzanlin Monastery, which is the largest Tibetan Buddhist monastery in Yunnan. The monks at the monastery were very friendly and welcomed me with open arms. I also hiked to the Pudacuo National Park, where I saw a variety of rare plants and animals, including the famous Yunnan golden monkeys.
Day 7: Return to Kunming
Today, I returned to Kunming to catch my flight back home. I reflected on the amazing experiences I had during my trip to Yunnan and how grateful I was to have had the opportunity to explore such a beautiful and diverse region. The people I met, the food I tried, and the scenery I saw were all unforgettable, and I will always cherish the memories I made during my time in Yunnan.
Overall, my trip to Yunnan was an incredible experience, and I would highly recommend it to anyone who is interested in exploring the beauty of China. The region is full of natural wonders, rich history, and unique culture, and it offers something for everyone. I can't wait to return to Yunnan and continue exploring this wonderful part of the world.
